WearEx (ASP-2053) is a powder metallurgy steel produced by Erasteel. It has extreme wear resistance, very fine grain structure and decent toughness. It is capable of a 66HRc working hardness. This will hold an edge for an impressive amount of time!

Suggested Heat Treatments:
Heat to 1180C Hold for 15 minutes
Oil Quench (Suggested Oil is Rye 32)
Temper for one hour, three times at 560C for 66HRc
Heat to 1050C Hold for 15 minutes
Oil Quench (Suggested Oil is Rye 32)
Temper for one hour, three times at 560 for 61HRc
Supplied in 660mm Lengths – Surface Ground Annealed
