A2 is an air hardening tool steel. Tougher than both D2 and M2 although it is less wear resistant. This is a great alternative to O1 for bushcraft tools due to a slight increase in corrosion resistance.

Suggested Heat Treatment:
Heat to 940 – 960C Hold for 15 minutes
Air Quench
Temper for two hours at 250C for 60HRc
Supplied in 700mm Lengths – Surface Ground Annealed
